Frontida Outreach - Thailand: October 2015 newsletter

Philippians 2: 5 - "Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus." . . . one can add as many examples or talk about the above scripture. At the end of the day I cannot encourage you enough to examine Jesus' attitude in His Word.

What an awesome month it has been. NP van Wyk Louw wrote: "October what a beautiful month." Well, we say: "October, the busiest month." And it was a beautiful one too!!

Johann and Edna van Tonder came to visit us for three days. It was really lovely to have ‘extended family’ here and to share our piece of paradise with them. They had the opportunity to meet some of Frontida’s children and had some play time and interaction with them. Johan and Edna visited the two schools we are involved with and experienced the relationship that God’s build with the students, teachers and locals. The Sunday morning at church, Johan also had the opportunity to share the blessing which Bergsig church have send with them. We praise God that they could come to visit and look forward to their next visit.

Art and Fon two YWAM members also have a passion for children. They initiated their first "Chilly Kids Camp" and it was a huge success. Twenty-six children between the ages of 10-15 years attended the camp from which two was from Frontida children and three children and a teacher of Bankhlo School. At the camp the children learn on who and what God is and everyone's identity in Him. None of the five children and the teacher is Christians but we know that the Holy Spirit was at work with them. The camp was a great success and the children (and adults) enjoyed it extremely. So much so that the children who went with us wanted to know when the next camp will be. There are so many testimonies to share of the weekend. Praise the Lord for the camp where His name was glorified.

The YWAM Ubon DTS group spend a whole week with us. It was part of the students' practical experience in outreaches which is part of the Disciple Training School. What a blessed week it was. The students had a chance to be part of our ministry. They inter acted with Frontida Kids, the local church and with a few of the Frontida Kids parents. Prayer walks in our town took place and they had an opportunity to learn more about our town and district. They also had an opportunity to meet several individuals with whom we are building personal relationships with and were able to serve them too. One day was devoted to an elderly Thai man in BhanKhlo where the team was able to clean his house and garden to show and share Jesus’s love and care for the community.

Marina’s back pain is getting better day by day. All glory to God the Father our healer and thanks you for all the prayers for her.

A busy and exciting time lies ahead for us in November and December. However, we need some help with the below mentioned projects/needs:

Christmas child shoebox project:

We intend to bless (spoil) the children here in Kanthararom with a shoe box / gift this coming Christmas. The gift will not only include a personal gift but will also contain spiritual material to be used. We have worked out an estimated budget of R60 per box/gift. Christmas family cardboard box project:

We intend to bless the needy families in our village with a cardboard box filled with non-perishable products this coming Christmas time. Spiritual material will also be included. Home visit project:

We would like to come to South Africa from 28 February 2016 until the end of April 2016 for our yearly home visit. The current cost of two return tickets are R29 890.00.
