A real test - 12 August 2018

  The Parable of the Good Samaritan (Luke 10:25-37) - well known parable to all of us.  So the question remains: If you confess and declare that you love the Lord with all your heart, soul, mind and strength, till what extend will you go to in being a "Good Samaritan" to your neighbour?"

It was mothers day in Thailand as well on Sunday.  We had an opportunity to honor all the mothers from church as well for mothers day.  They are not just the wonderful mothers to their own children but also the awesome mothers to all of us at church as well.  One could really feel and experience the love and compassion that was longing from the one's who did not had a mother or could not be able to spend time with their mothers due to their work in other provinces.

 

This church is really a family church and we are so blessed to be part of the church. 

Spiritual Warfare in Kanthararom - 7 Aug 2018

Yesterday Kanthararom Church went on a Strategic Prayer outreach around Kanthararom.  It was the first time that the Church did this and it was overwhelming for all.  We were able to pray at all 4 the roads enter Kanthararom as we went to Pray in as God says in Isaiah 40:1-5

 

Various Scripture has been prayed in for Kanthararom.  

                         

 

 It was a hot and humid day yesterday.  It was not easy standing outside the whole time praying for 2 hours long but the presence of the Holy Spirit made it easy for us.  Everyone was tired afterwards but the job was done and God heard our outcry to Him for Kanthararom and it's people.

Always time for a bit of fun and laughter as well :) 

Different kind of Fellowship- 5 August 2018

Every Sunday afternoon between 16:00 - 17:30 there is fellowship at The Community Centre, Ubon Ratchathani.  The idea is just to come and relax, fellowship and everyone is free to just share a testimony of Faith, teaching or anything God has put on your heart.  The atmosphere is relaxed with Praise and Worship in between as well.  When we feel like singing we sing - when we feel like crying we cry, when we feel like sharing we share.   

 

There is no specific topic we talk about - the only topic is Jesus Christ.

And off course we share love to one another on various ways.  Ubon made her special "heart waffels" and it was swamped by everyone within 1 minute :)

Prayer Gathering day Kanthararom Church 4 August 2018

Every two months churches from Sisaket Province get together at a church for prayer and fellowship with each other.  Most churches in the smaller provinces where churches is small in size do this.  It is great that the churches gather in prayer and unity together.  Testimonies are shared and a community of unity are formed over time.  This time our church in Kanthararom had the opportunity to host the event and more than 70 people attended the gathering.

 We had a great Praise and Worship time as well. We are proud of our church members.

And as always, we eat and fellowship together.

It was a wonderful day led by the Holy Spirit.  We can't wait to attend the following gathering again.

Learning to Read out of the Bible - Makrud 29 July 2018

The kids digged deep into their reading books we use to help the kids with English reading.  It is amazing to be able to teach the kids English right out of the Bible.  Only God can make this happen in a country where God has little or even no meaning to most of the population.

The kids don't just read for the sake of reading but they will tell you what they are reading as well.

They love to watch animated Bible stories as well.  God is Good.

Prayer Outreach Team 23-27 July 2018

 We had a prayer outreach team from South Africa visiting us for 4 days.  They also joined us in our monthly prison visit in Bangkok where our fellow brothers and sisters in Christ are incarcerated.  It was indeed a blessed morning for both parties and wonderful testimonies were shared.  God is always providing His Word of encouragement at the right time and right place.

Back here in Kanthararom we did a lot of praying at strategic places where the Holy Spirit led us.  We were once again reminded how important prayer in the Spiritual Realm is for our struggle is not against flesh but in Spirit.

 

The team also had the opportunity to share Word of Encouragement on the importance of prayer at the monthly Pastoral gathering at The Community Centre in Ubon Ratchathani.  There was opportunity to pray for the people who attended the morning gathering as well.

. . . and the same evening we went to Christian Gospel Church in Sisaket where the same message was shared with members of the church.  We were really happy to see so many teenagers attending the evening.

They also visited Nongsad Nonjarearn School - one of the schools we starting to have and build a relationship with.

We prayed for God's Truth to be revealed at some places and to certain people whom we have been having personal relationships with for many years.  We are patiently waiting for God's time that the truth will set them free. 

There is always time during an outreach for some fun and laughter.  Crazy people...
